I only hit a few sales this week and i don't have picks up everything but here is a sample of my kijiji and garage sale finds. the lit up thing is an awesome retro footstool from the 60s and the curio cabinet was from kijiji. Thanks for the help loading it, Ashley!

Remember that china cabinet with hutch?

a little late

last weekend i couldn't garage sale to my maximum potential as we were delivering my sale items. i did snag a few items and made money to shop for more.
I sometimes regret a few purchases but so far i have made a profit off everything. i also got a few things for my self like a park bench and toy kitchen (the kitchen is actually for my kids, honest.
i got an awesome magazine rack i want to keep but that would be hoarding as i don't have any magazine subscriptions.
our delivery went well. Only two people didn't show up who said they would. one person was on her last chance and the other person had someone drive into their home (i figured no one would make an excuse like that up!)
i also got something very wonderful waiting for me off of kijiji. Can you guess?

Not every weekend is a winner...

But, this weekend wasn't a complete waste either. Not very many garage sales with only one really good one. I did manage a few prizes. But it was crowded and busy. Beautiful weather and a handful of sales make for a hectic journey. My mom snagged the horse clock of me and the corner shelf. Wood basket and Breyers are for myself.

Welcome

I have stumbled upon a very fun and very profitable hobby. I buy items off kijiji, a local facebook buy and sell group, or at garage sales. Then I resell them at a profit. Best site for doing this? One Man's Junk... a facebook site that is not without its glitches but still has worked out well for me so far,

It all started rather slowly. Learning the local market was a big step. Finding the auction site (a little late for some items) was even better. And while I don't always make a fortune I'm not losing money. So basically, I can garage sale guilt free. And I love garage sales.

I am hoping to bring you all along on my adventures and share my finds. I have a few right now that I am auctioning off. I even have my father excited about it. So excited he is finding me things to sell. I love selling things. Sigh*

My best deal so far was a kijiji purchase of old wood frame windows. I got 42 of them for $20. I sold them for around $300 all together. I may have to double check that but it was still a lot.

My approach to garage sales is simple. I leave early and go for about two hours or until I run out of room in my pickup or cash in my wallet. I don't like going to long because the sales become crowded and I do not enjoy that.

Am I addicted? Maybe... But, at least I'm not hoarding my purchases...
